Coach Gordie Gillespie Challenge

Goal Progress: $17,255.00 / $25,000.00 (69%)

The late Gordie Gillespie is a coaching legend. He amassed 2,402 coaching wins in three sports over 61 years. Ten of those years found him at the helm of the Red Hawks baseball team with his son, Bob, at his side.

The 2008 Ripon College Athletic Hall of Fame inductee collected 239 victories as head coach of the baseball team at Ripon. Gordie set a new standard for success in the Midwest Conference, leading Ripon to six conference championships and six NCAA Regional appearances. He also was named MWC Coach of the Year six times, while becoming the first and only coach in MWC history to receive that honor in three consecutive seasons (2001-2003).

Join us in carrying on Gordie Gillespie’s legacy of excellence at Ripon College by participating in the Gordie Gillespie Baseball Coach’s Office naming challenge. Your one-time or recurring gift will help ensure that Gordie’s name remains a permanent fixture of Red Hawks baseball. Future generations of Ripon College student-athletes will forever know the lasting legacy he leaves behind as the leader of one of the Midwest Conference’s winningest programs. Gordie’s legacy as a coach and as a human being far exceeds his exceptional win-loss record. He was a true teacher and mentor. By honoring Gordie in this manner, we hope his storied career will long continue to serve as a model for current and future Red Hawks coaches and student-athletes. Honor Gordie’s contributions to Ripon with a contribution of your own. One-time and recurring donations can be made to the Revitalize campaign for up to two years.
