Financial Aid FAQ

In order to keep everyone informed, we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its effect on Financial Aid.
Please read through the following FAQs before contacting the College, as they will provide a more timely/immediate answer.

I am missing documents for my financial aid, how can I get those to your office?

The Office of Financial Aid is working both from the office as well as remotely from home. The staff is monitoring its phone, email, fax and postal mail. In order to maintain security, it is recommended to either fax (920-748-8370) or mail documents to our office: Ripon College, Office of Financial Aid, 300 W. Seward St., Ripon, WI 54971. If you are able to send an encrypted, secure email, or if your document doesn’t contain personally identifiable information, you can email your documents to [email protected]

Please remember that all documents that require signatures, must be a “wet-signature”, that is, signed with a pen, by hand (not computerized) before returning the document to our office.

Is it too late to file my 2020-21 FAFSA?

No, if you have not filed your FAFSA, please do so here
. If you or a parent has had a loss of income due to COVID-19, do not change your income. You should be using 2018 income tax information. If you have had a change of income or ther unusual circumstances that you would like us to consider, please contact our office at [email protected] after your FAFSA is filed.

Should I file my 2021-22 FAFSA?

Yes! If you have not filed your FAFSA for the 2021-22 academic year yet, please do so herehttps://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. You should be using 2019 income tax information. If you or a parent has had a loss of income due to COVID-19, do not change your income. If you or your family had some other unusual circumstances that you would like us to consider, please contact our office at [email protected] after your FAFSA is filed.

What if I have more questions about my financial aid?

If your family’s financial situation has changed due to the loss of a job, medical bills or other unusual circumstances or your family has a special circumstance that needs to be considered now or in the future, contact our office at [email protected] or 920-748-8101.

What number can I call to speak with someone directly in the Financial Aid Office?

The Office of Financial Aid is staffed Monday – Friday, however, you may still need to leave a message. Your message will be returned as soon as possible. Please feel free to call 920-748-8101 (main line), 920-748-8358 (Linda) or 920-748-8371 (Alycia) and we will respond as soon as possible.

What about my student loans?

The federal government is offering various relief opportunities for federal student loans, including suspending interest and payments. Please visit studentaid.gov/announcements-events/coronavirus for further information.
