Wade Fernandez Performance

December 2, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Wade Fernandez (aka Walks with the black wolf) is a deeply authentic, multi-award wining international touring artist from the Menominee Nation Reservation in Wisconsin. Winning numerous awards in many genres, Fernandez’s musical style has no bounds – from opening and performing with the likes of Jackson Browne to the Indigo Girls – and has led to a long career including 40 international tours. Some classify Wade’s music as Contemporary Native Americana, yet he is as comfortable performing solo vocals, acoustic guitar, and native flute at a folk fest as he is jamming electric on stage with his band. His passion to share his music, spirit, and culture and to honor Grandmother Earth is reflected in his international presentations in schools (K-College), workshops, and concerts from Woodstock 94 to Honor the Earth. This event is brought to you by Prairie Lakes Unitarian Universalist Fellowship & the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
