Democracy in Africa: Challenges and Hopes

September 15, 2016 @ 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm

Democracy and elections have come to the forefront of the public debate in Francophone Africa. However, the devolution of power after fair and transparent elections accepted by all parties, a sine qua non for the rule of law, is not always a smooth process. Three panelists discuss these challenges: Maitre (Attorney) Guy Herve Kam (Burkina Faso) and Professors Jean-Blaise Samou (Cameroon) and Touorizou Herve Some (Burkina Faso).

Sponsored by the Center for Politics and the People. Free and open to the public.
