Our commitment to Dodge County

Ever wonder what the difference is between a private college and a public university?

At Ripon College, there are no waiting lines for majors, no big lecture halls and no cumbersome general education requirements that can eat up a student’s time. Our five-course Catalyst curriculum ensures students are able to complete multiple majors and minors, experiential study, play sports and hold internships in four years. Ripon students set foot on their path from day one and are admitted directly into their program(s) of choice. Faculty and staff are here to guide students every step of the way, providing academic and career support throughout all four years.

We are proud to be able to offer students from Dodge County schools a world-class education close to home, and we have strengthened our commitment to graduating seniors from those schools by offering $36,000 in financial aid awards. This applies to all admitted students from one of the following Dodge County high schools: Beaver Dam, Central Wisconsin Christian, Dodgeland High School, Horicon, Hustisford, Lomira, Luther Preparatory School, Maranatha Baptist Academy, Mayville, Randolph, Watertown, Waupun, and Wayland Academy.

That means students will pay no more than $19,776 to attend Ripon, and even less if they qualify for other need-based financial aid. The average out-of-pocket cost for an entering first-year student at Ripon in 2019 was $11,624.

In order to qualify for the Local Commitment Award, students must be enrolled full-time and live on campus. This award is available only to new students applying for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Incoming first-year international students who graduate from one of the qualifying schools are eligible to receive the Local Commitment Award. Students transferring to Ripon in the 2020-2021 academic year from another college or university are eligible to receive the Local Commitment Award if they graduated from one of the qualifying schools.

Ninety-eight percent of Ripon students are employed, student teaching or pursuing graduate study within six months of graduation. Better yet, the Department of Education’s College Scorecard finds that 10 years out, Ripon graduates earn more than any other graduates in the state of Wisconsin.

Add in our four year graduation guarantee and we’re certain you’ll agree, that’s some serious bang for your buck!
