LONG-TERM DISABILITY, providing you with loss of income protection if you become disabled from a covered accidental bodily injury, sickness or pregnancy.

  • Employee coverage only, provided by the College.
  • Pays 60 percent of monthly gross after three months of disability with a maximum monthly benefit of $8,000.


  • $100,000 coverage provided for you while on College business

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT – No contribution by Ripon College

  • Medical Reimbursement available for expected out-of-pocket expenses for employee and family

  • Amounts deducted on a pre-tax basis
  • Medical Reimbursement allows roll-over of up to $500 unused funds into the next calendar year

  • Available to employee, their dependent children and spouse (dependent child status determined by employee’s IRS 1040 form)
  • Eligible full-time students also may apply to participating Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) schools (Beloit, Coe, Colorado, Cornell, Grinnell, Knox, Lawrence, Lake Forest, Macalester, Monmouth, Luther College) and the opportunity to receive undergraduate scholarships
  • Also ACM Tuition Exchange; and the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) Tuition Exchange, which includes 423 participating institutions


  • Individually owned annuity contracts purchased from TIAA-CREF are fully vested.
  • Faculty teaching at least 6 credit hours/semester are eligible upon employment if related service with an eligible employer of a 501 ©(3) organization or an institution of higher learning has been satisfied.
  • If not satisfied, one-year waiting period
  • Employee contributes a minimum of 5 percent; College contributes 5 percent only.
  • Employee may contribute extra to plan or to an SRA (Supplement Retirement Annuity), no employer contribution.
