Kurt Dietrich to promote new jazz book in Milwaukee April 30

Kurt Dietrich, professor of music and the Barbara Baldwin De Frees Chair in the Performing Arts, is the author of the recently published book Wisconsin Riffs: Jazz Profiles from the Heartland. Dietrich’s book was published this month by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press.

On Monday, April 30, he will speak at 7 p.m. at the Jazz Estate club, 2423 N. Murray Ave., Milwaukee, sponsored by Boswell Book Company. The Manty Ellis Trio will perform. There will be a $5 cover charge to cover musicians’ costs.
