The 2009 WCA State Criterium Championship races will incorporate two different routes. A short half-mile course will be used for the junior races and the women 4/masters women 4 race. That course will then be expanded to approximately one mile for the longer afternoon races.
Both courses will run counter-clockwise with a start and finish on Watson Street in the heart of Ripon's historic downtown business district. The routes head north on Watson and vear left onto W. Fond du Lac Street. Racers will then turn left onto Ransom Street to tackle a short, but challenging 46-foot climb.
The short course (immediately below) will then turn left onto Seward Street and left again onto Watson Street to end with a 130-meter sprint to the finish line.
The long course (below) will turn right onto Seward and then left on Woodside, adding two blocks to the course and another 150-meters to the finishing sprint (280 meters total from the final turn to the finish line).
