Tutoring
Tutoring is available to all Ripon College Students. Free
tutoring in specific subject areas is available for participants in
Student Support Services, with a small fee charged to non-participants.
Tutors are students who have been recommended by their professors and
trained by the Student Support Services staff. These tutors serve as
a supplement to faculty assistance. The aim of tutoring is to help
students develop learning skills and improve their course grades.
To
obtain a tutor, stop in our office at G1, Bartlett Hall.
Peer Contacts
A group of Peer Contacts serves Student Support Services
by meeting regularly with students to facilitate communication between
Student Support Services participants and staff. Peer Contacts are
Ripon College students who have gone through extensive training and
are ready and willing to help other students.
Academic, Life and Career Guidance
Guidance in choosing a career and in choosing a major is available.
Resume Assistance
Students can receive assistance on creating and editing their resume
and formulating cover and thank-you letters.
Cultural Enrichment Experiences
Student Support Services provides opportunities for participants to
experience cultural activities and events on and off campus. Past
events have included trips to Chicago and Green Bay to see productions
of Cats and Evita and the sponsoring of "Faces of America" to
the Ripon campus.
