What students say...

"I owe my tutor a lot. Quizzes were prepared for me, and we went into the lab and everything."

"My peer contact was great. Student Support Services is the most wonderful thing that has happened to me during my first year!"

"Having people to talk to when I felt pressured in some way by academic or personal stress was the most helpful. The SSS staff always presented alternative ways to solve problems."

"The program gave me the opportunity to see things I have never seen before."

Tutoring
Tutoring is available to all Ripon College Students. Free tutoring in specific subject areas is available for participants in Student Support Services, with a small fee charged to non-participants. Tutors are students who have been recommended by their professors and trained by the Student Support Services staff. These tutors serve as a supplement to faculty assistance. The aim of tutoring is to help students develop learning skills and improve their course grades. To obtain a tutor, stop in our office at G1, Bartlett Hall.

Peer Contacts
A group of Peer Contacts serves Student Support Services by meeting regularly with students to facilitate communication between Student Support Services participants and staff. Peer Contacts are Ripon College students who have gone through extensive training and are ready and willing to help other students.

Academic, Life and Career Guidance

Resume Assistance
