Amnesty International
Amnesty International is concerned with the international protection of human rights. The Ripon chapter is one of hundreds of similar groups located on campuses throughout the world. Our activities focus on ensuring the ethical treatment of prisoners. Through letter-writing campaigns, we work to ensure fair and prompt trials for all political prisoners detained without charge or trial. Campaigns also seek the release of prisoners of conscience detained for their beliefs, color, ethnic origin, language or religion, who have not used or advocated violence. Our chapter raises awareness of international human rights issues.
