In March of 2008 Ripon College will be sending out three groups of students on alternative spring break trips. The students for the trips have already been selected. Applications, websites, and breif descriptions are available below, however, for the trips to see what they entail or how the application process was conducted for spring 2008. Applications for spring 2009 trips will be available in fall 2008.

Christian Appalachian Project

Gather with other college students from across the country for a week of service to those in need. You will be on a team with folks from other institutions and spend the week working with a family on projects ranging from siding, painting, putting up drywall, roofing, etc. on existing homes. Habitat Collegiate Challenge

Join with Ripon students and students from across the country to build houses from the ground-up! No prior home-repair or building experiences are necessary for this trip! You’ll have the chance to improve your carpentry skills, connect with new people in a new place, and put your drive to volunteer into action by making a real difference in Habitat for Humanity’s work of eliminating substandard housing.

Panama Spring Break Trip
Wacuco, Panama
Wacuco is located in Darien, the eastern province of Panama, close to the Colombian border. The group will be working with Father Wally Kosuboski on projects providing fresh water and access to the village.
