COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

Cinema Committee:
Responsible for the presentation of campus films and special events at the Campus Cinema.

Coffeehouse Committee:
Responsible for presenting smaller scale entertainment and programs in the Union and Terrace, such as comedians and musicians.

Contemporary Issues Committee:
Responsible for selection and presentation of local, regional and national speakers for the campus community.

Mini-Courses Committee:
Responsible for planning educational and entertaining seminars and programs, on topics such as CPR certification, bartending, arts and crafts projects, cooking, personal finance and many others.

Publicity Committee:
Responsible for the publicity and promotion for all SMAC events, maintaining the SMAC display case, as well as organizing the annual poster sale and other vendor sales.

Spotlight and Homecoming Committee:
Responsible for large scale entertainment and major campus programming including Springfest and Homecoming.

Travel Committee:
Responsible for organizing off-campus travel opportunities for the campus, such as trips to athletic events, shopping and theatre performances.

Student Representative Committee:
Responsible for collecting input from the student body, assisting with Student Activities Fair and T.O.T.U., along with putting together the Student Planner.
