Michael Ebeling and Rodney Hanson of Madison, Wis., will exhibit their work in cast iron. Ebeling brings a strong background in drawing and painting to the pair’s sculptures, while Hanson blurs the boundaries between artistic sculpture and musical percussion instrument. The pair will conduct a workshop for students in Ripon College’s Art 190 Sculpture 1 class and collaborate with those students to create a 9-foot-tall sculpture for the College’s permanent collection to be placed in the sculpture garden. The sculpture will be unveiled during the Sept. 21 opening.
