The Caestecker Fine Arts Series is made possible by an endowment from Ripon College Honorary Life Trustee Thomas E. Caestecker.
"Endowing a fine arts series at Ripon College is a very good way to support a strong college and at the same time add a significant element to the quality of life in the Ripon area," says Caestecker.
Caestecker has been a longtime benefactor of the College. In addition to providing the gift to build the Caestecker Wing of the C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, including its studios, gallery and sculpture garden, he underwrote the College’s 2001 Sesquicentennial Celebration and generously funded the 2003 inauguration of President David C. Joyce.
Caestecker is president of Markham Investments LLC of Kenilworth, Ill. He received his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. He holds two honorary doctorates in humane letters — one from Spring Hill College, presented in 1996, and one from Ripon College, presented in May 2001.
Now in its 21st year, the Caestecker Fine Arts Series brings well-known theatre, art, dance and music performers to campus. Since the 1920s, the College has fulfilled a unique role in providing fine arts to its surrounding communities. The Caestecker Fine Arts Series ensures the continuation of that legacy.
