Summary
In response to concerns about Ripon's preparedness in the event of an emergency situation, the Emergency Operations Team has adapted the Ripon College Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) into a version suitable for public review. The purpose of doing so is chiefly to reassure students, parents, faculty and staff, and the public at large that Ripon has a plan in place and is prepared to enact it.
Many essential elements of the plan such as personal contact information, as well as any information helpful to a would-be criminal, have been removed from this version. What remains are relatively standard procedures and practices. The plan is reviewed on a regular basis.
The intent of this document is to help coordinate a response by the Emergency Operations Team, and it is provided here only as a courtesy to interested constituents of the College. It does NOT replace or supplement either the Safety and Security Brochure (furnished to all first-year students) or the threat-specific plans listed at left, which contain much more practical information.
Any student who has misplaced his/her Emergency Procedures brochure may come to the Finance office (3rd floor of Smith Hall) to obtain another copy.
