Toni-Lee Viney is a recent graduate of Ripon College. She enjoyed her time as a student and hopes to give back to the campus through her work as a trustee.
She carries a different view than a large percent of the board because of how recently she graduated from Ripon. Toni-Lee hopes that her unique perspective can help Ripon grow in the aspects students are concerned about.
Though she acknowledges many concerns in institutions of higher education, one which she highlights is accessibility. Toni-Lee explains that Ripon offers an excellent and affordable education, but because of the recent economy, the ability to maintain the same level of accessibility grows more difficult and becomes a crucial concern.
Toni-Lee is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Speech Communication at Colorado State University. She also teaches public speaking at CSU. She spends free time hiking, skiing and sightseeing throughout Colorado.
She hopes that through her work on the board she is able to secure Ripon College’s future and offer more students the experience she had while she was a student at Ripon.
Her work, along with that of the rest of the board, is not unnoticeable in the area and throughout the nation.
“Ripon's reputation is steadily growing along with the physical presence of the school," she notes. "It is very exciting to be involved in this opportunity for such tremendous growth.”
