What compelled you to become a Ripon College Trustee?

I believe so strongly in the value of private liberal arts education and I sense the great potential for Ripon College to make significant qualitative strides in the future, thereby enhancing its value to all of its stakeholders.

What qualities do you bring to the table as a Trustee?

I hope that nearly 40 years as a faculty member, administrator, and president of similar kinds of institutions will be helpful in my role as a Ripon Trustee.

What do you see as the most significant challenges for higher education in general, and Ripon in particular?
With the percentage of students choosing to attend private colleges nationally, I see the challenge for sustaining and increasing resources through annual tuition revenues (enrollment), gift revenue and general public support to be essential to the qualitative growth that I mentioned earlier that Ripon deserves to achieve.
