Click here for a tentative schedule of events.  Cost is free for Bonner students and minimal for non-Bonners. Transportation is provided.

2008 Alternative Spring Break Trip to Wacuco, Panama

Fifteen Ripon College students will travel to Wacuco, Panama, to give a helping hand to Father Wally Kosuboski and the Caps Corps. Students will engage in long-term fund-raising activities for this trip.

Past Events

Ripon College students have had the rewarding chance to participate in a number of unique off-campus opportunities.

As a culmination to our weeklong activities commemorating the work of Martin Luther King Jr., a busload of Ripon students headed down to Chicago to give a helping hand to the Greater Chicago Food Bank and the Vital Bridges organization. This MLK Day of Service gave students the opportunity to spread the message of seeking peace and reconciliation.

Recently, more than 90 Ripon students helped Ty Pennington and the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" team provide a new home for the Koepke family of Fond du Lac County. Other past events have included service trips to the Gulf Coast region, Habitat for Humanity trips to various parts of the United States and one-day service trips to surrounding communities.

Alternative Spring Break trips are a great way to travel the country AND give a helping hand! These students gutted this two-story house in fewer than two days during a Habitat for Humanity trip to the Gulf Coast.

MLK
