Other Agencies with Which the Health Team works:

Community Blood Center Blood Drives

Ripon College teams with the Community Blood Center to provide on-campus blood drives three times a year. The Community Blood Center Inc. is an independent, locally focused, not-for-profit organization headquartered in Appleton, Wis. It has been providing blood and blood components to local patients since 1955, and local hospitals rely on the Community Blood Center to ensure they always have an adequate supply of blood on hand. You can get involved by signing up to donate or be one of the volunteers to help set up the events.

Ripon Medical Center

Recently celebrating 75 years of service to the Ripon community, Ripon Medical Center offers a Meals on Wheels program, support groups and educational programs in which you can become involved.

Aurora Hospice

Volunteers for this program are needed to provide the precious gift of their time to terminally ill individuals and their families.  A detailed orientation and continued supervision give volunteers full support in this rewarding service. Volunteers who are sensitive to others, work efficiently and meet their commitments are needed for companionship and respite.

Vital Bridges

This partnership first began during the 2007 MLK Day of Service in January. Vital Bridges provides support and advocacy for people throughout metropolitan Chicago impacted by HIV and AIDS. They provide support to families and individuals afflicted by HIV and AIDS through food and nutrition services, housing programs, educational services and case management.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training and competition. Special Olympics offers children and adults year-round training and competition in 30 Olympic-type summer and winter sports. Throughout the year, you can serve as a judge or help with the logistics of these sporting events.

March of Dimes

The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. They carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects and low birth weight.
