Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities:
Thrift Store and Food Pantry
The Ripon Food Pantry currently supplies food for more than 100 local families. Profits from the Ripon Thrift Store help pay for this food. Just a block off campus, this volunteer opportunity offers a lot of flexibility. Managing food pickups, stocking shelves or serving as a cashier for the Thrift Store are just a few of the unique ways you can become involved!
Other Agencies with which the Community Development Team works:
Chamber/Ripon Main Street
The Ripon Chamber of Commerce and Ripon Main Street provide support to local businesses, develop and encourage Ripon tourism and sponsor community events such as the Concert Green Series during the summer months and a biweekly Farmers Market.
Environmental Projects
Ripon College is invested in conserving and protecting the environment and creating awareness for local environmental issues through programs such as prairie restoration projects, park and highway cleanups, and education programs.
Community Festivals
The community of Ripon is host to a variety of festivals and events spanning all seasons of the year. Septemberfest in the fall and Dickens of a Christmas in the winter are just two of the many popular events taking place annually in our community. Your time makes all the difference in the success of these events!
