Green Lake Area Animal Shelter

Green Lake Area Animal Shelter provides the valuable service of caring for stray and unwanted dogs and cats in the area and working toward ending animal suffering and homelessness. If you're an animal lover, this is the place for you. After a short orientation, you can help care for the animals and find them good homes. The animal shelter is approximately five miles away, so you will need access to private transportation.

Creative Care Options

Throughout the year, the Caring Companions team organizes events on campus for the clients of Diverse Options and local group homes. Past events have including grill-outs, movie nights and outings to a bowling alley. Keep an eye on the calendar for the next event or let the team leader know if you are interested in working with someone on a long-term basis.

Other Agencies the Caring Companions Team works with:

Nursing and Assisted-Living Facilities

There are a variety of nursing homes and assisted-living facilities in Ripon, and they can use your help to provide companionship and activities for our community's older residents. Brightening someone's day is as easy as playing a game of cards! You can join team members on one of their weekly excursions.

Free S.P.I.R.I.T. Riders
