Each year, they study the resident killer whales, collecting data from the shoreline with regard to whales and boat behavior. Professor of Communication Steve Martin ’96 originally participated in Otis’ Maymester course as a senior. He returned this past summer for the first time since 1996 and shares his experience with us.
OK, so a globe doesn’t actually have any corners, but Ripon College alumni have established residences throughout the world and for various reasons. Jaye Alderson contacted many of them to find out where they are and what they’re doing. Chances are if you’re planning to travel, there is a Ripon alumnus that calls your destination home.
Harrison Ford ’64 is probably Ripon’s most famous pilot, and Al Klapmeier ’80 has built one of the largest manufacturers of small aircraft in the world. Many Ripon alumni, however, are merely enthusiasts who build and/or fly airplanes as a hobby. Several shared the stories of their passion with Ripon Magazine.
