Abortion survivor to share right-to-life message
Nov. 2, 2007

RIPON, Wis. – Gianna Jessen, a Christan singer-songwriter who was born after an attempted abortion, will share her life story Monday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Great Hall.

Jessen’s biological mother underwent a saline abortion when she was in her third trimester. However, she went into labor about 18 hours later and her daughter, weighing just two pounds, was born in the Los Angeles County abortion clinic.
Today, Jessen has cerebral palsy, which is believed to be a result of the saline abortion. Despite doctors’ prognoses, she learned to walk and has gone on to complete multiple marathons.

Her speech will offer her perspective on abortion, supplemented with her experiences as a foster child, Christian and woman with Cerebral Palsy.

All community members are welcome to attend the event, which has been planned by the Ripon Right to Life.
