RIPON, Wis. – The Ripon College chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity has been recognized with the Peterson Distinguished Chapter Award.
Recognizing strong performance in all areas of chapter operations and activity, the award is the highest honor bestowed upon an undergraduate chapter. Criteria include scholarship, member retention, financial stability, pledge retention, house occupancy, chapter and member character and reputation, campus activities and leadership, campus and community service, alcohol awareness programming, faculty and alumni relations, publications, Ritual, Initiation and pledge programs. Every Peterson chapter's recognition includes a large plaque and a Sigma Chi cash contribution to its university's counseling or tutoring program.
Joe Hentz, consul for Sigma Chi, said, “This is the first time that the Epsilon Lambda Chapter has won this cherished award, but it certainly will not be the last.”
