Emma Irene Bjornstad

Class of 1918

“Courtesy and honor are the prime virtues of womanhood.”

Emma showed both courtesy and honor when she became one of the 7 Ripon College students who took part in the surgical dressings class offered during the 1917-1918 school year. Through this effort she showed her support for her fellow classmates as well as alumni who were fighting during the war.

Emma died of Spanish influenza in December 1918.
