Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies
The department of Romance and Classical Languages at Ripon College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies beginning August 2014. PhD in hand by August 2014 and a native or near-native fluency in French and English are required. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester. We seek experienced candidates with a background in non-Western Francophone literature and cultural studies. Competence to teach a less commonly taught language or Spanish will be a plus. Along with an ability to teach all the levels of the French curriculum, successful candidates will also be eager and qualified to create courses outside of the French curriculum to develop students’ sensitivity to non-Western cultures. Letters of application should address the expectations above and also describe the candidate’s potential for, and interest in, collaborating on curricular and pedagogical innovations in at least one of the following areas: global studies, interdisciplinary programs, cultural studies, and the digital humanities.

Assistant Professor of Psychology
Ripon College, a Phi Beta Kappa undergraduate liberal-arts college with a history of commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology beginning August 2014.
Ph.D. or ABD status in Psychology with a background in Neuroscience is required. Previous teaching experience and a strong research program capable of involving motivated students desired. The position involves teaching undergraduate classes in experimental and clinical neuroscience. Additional classes will include Research Design and Statistics, some General Psychology, and topics of the successful candidate’s interest. Teaching load is three classes per semester.

Residence Hall Director
Ripon College invites applications for one Residence Hall Director position. This live-in position will commence in July 2014.
Under the supervision of the Director of Residence Life, this Residence Hall Director will provide educational opportunities and community development activities for 230 students at a residential, liberal arts college. Ten to twelve hours per week of a collateral opportunity in a student affairs department outside of residence life is included.
Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree and residence hall staff experience along with crisis response experience; an understanding of the benefits of a liberal arts education; communication, confrontation, programming, and leadership skills; open-mindedness, maturity, approachability, and enthusiasm; and an ability to motivate and support students and student staff in educational endeavors.
Compensation includes a competitive salary, College meal plan, furnished apartment and reserved parking space.

Development Associate for Major and Planned Giving
Ripon College seeks an enthusiastic, motivated Advancement “Road Warrior.” In this position he/she will be responsible for visiting upper end annual fund donors to thank them and ask them to consider increasing their support and involvement, as well as individuals identified through research as potential major gift and planned gift donors to the College. Additional responsibilities include participating in regular meetings with both development and annual fund staff and facilitating activities that will help build a base for the ongoing Imagine Tomorrow comprehensive campaign.
This position is best served with a person of integrity, commitment to confidentiality, patience with others, professionalism and attention to detail. A sense of humor, strong people skills, and a team orientation are essential. Flexibility, enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and sensitivity to the stewardship of long term relationships between the College and its donors are also desirable. At least two to three years experience in development, sales, or other comparable activities is desired. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license are required (must also meet Ripon College’s driver approval requirements); incumbent spends approximately 50% time traveling, visiting donors and prospective donors for the College.

Financial Aid Specialist
Ripon College is seeking applications and nominations for a Financial Aid Specialist, reporting to the Director of Financial Aid. Ripon College, founded in 1851, is an independent, residential liberal arts and sciences college nationally recognized for its quality undergraduate education.
The Financial Aid Specialist position is an exempt, full-time administrative position, reporting to the Director of Financial Aid. The Financial Aid Specialist manages the PowerFAIDS financial aid management system and coordinates activities with the integrated campus software – Jenzabar; and other duties as assigned by the Director. The Financial Aid Specialist must be familiar with all federal, state and institutional aid programs.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years financial aid experience at the college level preferred. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential. Extensive knowledge of computer applications and systems (e.g. PowerFaids, Jenzabar/Quodata Systems, etc.) is important, as well as willingness to learn and train on new systems. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
