Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies
The department of Romance and Classical Languages at Ripon College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies beginning August 2014. PhD in hand by August 2014 and a native or near-native fluency in French and English are required. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester. We seek experienced candidates with a background in non-Western Francophone literature and cultural studies. Competence to teach a less commonly taught language or Spanish will be a plus. Along with an ability to teach all the levels of the French curriculum, successful candidates will also be eager and qualified to create courses outside of the French curriculum to develop students’ sensitivity to non-Western cultures. Assistant Professor – Global Studies
The Global Studies Program of Ripon College invites applications for a tenure – track Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate must be able to teach two Global Studies core courses, one covering comparative global cultures and the other covering global political economy. He or she will also teach elective courses in his or her field, conduct a year – long senior seminar and serve as the coordinator of the program. Teaching load is three courses per semester. Discipline and major fields are open, but expertise in at least one non – Western area such as Africa, Asia or the Middle East is required. Ph.D. should be in hand by the starting date of August 22, 2014.

Assistant Professor of English
Ripon College seeks an Assistant Professor of English.
This is a tenure-track assistant professorship, specialist in creative writing (poetry); terminal degree required MFA preferred, PhD considered. Position begins August, 2014.
The typical teaching expectation at Ripon College, a small liberal arts institution, is three courses per semester including freshman composition. The desired candidate will be a published poet with the ability to teach in multiple creative writing genres and American literature. Additionally, a background in minority, and/or Anglophone literature is desired. Preference will be given to those whose work is informed by global, diverse or underrepresented voices. Assistant Professor of History
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF U.S. HISTORY / AFRICAN OR ASIAN DIASPORA
The history department at Ripon College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in U.S. history (period open) with a secondary specialty in African or Asian diaspora.
We are especially interested in candidates whose work on transnational, diasporic, or borderlands issues has prepared them to teach courses in both U.S. history and the history of Africa, South Asia, East Asia, or the Caribbean. We would welcome specializations in areas such as slavery/abolition, immigration, ethnicity, race relations, gender issues, colonialism or popular culture. The PhD is expected by the start date (August 2014), and some college-level teaching experience is preferred.

Assistant Professor of Psychology
Ripon College, a Phi Beta Kappa undergraduate liberal-arts college with a history of commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology beginning August 2014.
Ph.D. or ABD status in Psychology with a background in Neuroscience is required. Previous teaching experience and a strong research program capable of involving motivated students desired. The position involves teaching undergraduate classes in experimental and clinical neuroscience. Network and Systems Specialist

Job Description The position of Network and Systems Specialist is a full-time, 12 month staff position, reporting to the Network and Systems Manager. This position will assist the Network and Systems Manager to ensure the stable operation of the College’s network infrastructure, and all connected workstations and peripherals. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and monitoring network hardware, software, servers and workstations (physical and virtual). This position will also provide tier-one helpdesk support as needed.
- BA/BS in Computer related field or 2-year Associates Degree (emphasis on server/network technology) and related work experience.
- General knowledge of current networking hardware, software, protocols, and services.
- Working knowledge of various computer and mobile operating systems.
- Able to install, support, and troubleshoot server and PC hardware components and peripherals.
- Experience with server virtualization, VDI and VoIP technologies preferred.
- Superior problem solving and multi-tasking skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others.

Financial Aid Specialist
Ripon College is seeking applications and nominations for a Financial Aid Specialist, reporting to the Director of Financial Aid. Ripon College, founded in 1851, is an independent, residential liberal arts and sciences college nationally recognized for its quality undergraduate education.
The Financial Aid Specialist position is an exempt, full-time administrative position, reporting to the Director of Financial Aid. The Financial Aid Specialist manages the PowerFAIDS financial aid management system and coordinates activities with the integrated campus software – Jenzabar; and other duties as assigned by the Director. The Financial Aid Specialist must be familiar with all federal, state and institutional aid programs.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years financial aid experience at the college level preferred. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential. Extensive knowledge of computer applications and systems (e.g. PowerFaids, Jenzabar/Quodata Systems, etc.) is important, as well as willingness to learn and train on new systems. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Campus Visit Technician (Part-Time)
Ripon College seeks an energetic outgoing team-oriented Campus Visit Technician in the office of Admission. This position is responsible for the coordination of daily visits of prospective students and their families which includes communication with the visitor and with the campus constituencies involved in the visit. This is a part-time 9 month position (August 15 – May 15), working hourly from 9 – 3 on a daily basis.
Campus Visit Technician assignments include:
• Welcome prospective students and families, setting a tone for their visit • Manage traffic flow of visiting students ensuring timeliness and seamless execution of scheduled appointments • Perform oversight and key liaison functions in preparation for campus visits • Handle all incoming visit requests (via e-mail, online request, telephone, walk-ins, etc.) • Manage and train the student tour guides and student visit coordinators • Work with the Admissions Staff to continually evaluate and assess the daily campus visit experience for prospective students.
Qualifications include excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities and an outgoing welcoming personality. Exceptional planning and attention to details, problem-solving, time management, analytical skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills required.
