Development Associate for Major Giving and Estate Planning

Ripon College seeks an enthusiastic, motivated Advancement “Road Warrior” to join our major gift team as Development Associate for Major Giving and Estate Planning.

In this position he/she will be responsible for cultivating alumni and friends of the College who have the potential and desire to support philanthropic initiatives as potential major and estate gift donors to the College. Additional responsibilities include participating in regular meetings with teams from Advancement Services, Constituent Engagement and Career Services, and Development and facilitating activities that will help to build a base of support for a recently launched campaign to renovate and expand the college’s athletics, health, and wellness venue as well as other philanthropic priorities.

This position is best served with a person of integrity, commitment to confidentiality, patience with others, professionalism and attention to detail. A sense of humor, strong people skills, and a team orientation are essential. Flexibility, enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and sensitivity to the stewardship of long-term relationships between the College and its donors are also desirable. At least two to three years experience in development, sales, or other comparable activities is desired. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license are required (must also meet Ripon College’s driver approval requirements); incumbent spends approximately 50% time traveling, visiting donors and prospective donors to the College.
