Assistant/Associate Director of Admission

Ripon College seeks an enthusiastic energetic addition to their admission office. The Assistant/Associate Director of Admission position works and contributes through a team-oriented approach to assist the Admission Office in the overall planning and operations of the College’s student recruitment program including strategic recruitment planning, application processing, marketing, and policy/communication development. Primary responsibilities are working with our transfer population as well as a key territorial recruitment assignment, planning and coordinating both on and off campus special events and recruiting functions managing specific recruitment programming and possible supervision of staff. This person works collaboratively with all areas within the College to enhance the overall recruitment and admission goals.

The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years admission experience, transfer experience preferred with progressive responsibilities, a valid driver’s license, and an appreciation for the value of a liberal arts and sciences education. In addition, the individual should possess the following characteristics and abilities:

  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Experience and skill working with computers and software programs
  • Enthusiasm for and ability to do significant traveling
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated recruitment experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaboratively and flexibly
  • Willingness to work beyond the traditional work day/week
  • Outstanding data analysis skills, with the ability to analyze, synthesize, interpret and extrapolate admission and financial aid data
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion is required
  • Previous supervisory experience is desired
