Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary will speak about anti-violence Feb. 27

Legendary musician Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary fame will speak at Ripon College during the lunch hour on Friday.

He will talk about Operation Respect, an organization he founded to send a message of anti-bullying and anti-violence, especially aimed at young children.

The event is a kickoff to the Social Justice Retreat being held for faculty, staff and students of the College over the weekend. Yarrow’s appearance is made possible through a partnership with the Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, where he will be performing to a sold-out house that evening.

The talk at Ripon College will begin at noon in the Dahm Heritage Room, S.N. Pickard Commons. The public is invited to attend at no charge and can bring a lunch, but seating is limited.
