Pianist, vocalist perform May 3
A senior piano and vocal recital will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Ripon College. The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, on the campus. There is no charge for admission.
Senior Michael Rausch of Deerfield, Wis., is a pianist and will perform Sonata, Op. 13, No. 8, in c, “Pathétique,” by Ludwig van Beethoven; and Rondo Prelude, Op. 28, No. 15 in D-flat, “Raindrop,” by Frédéric Chopin.
Senior Emily Dozier of Quincy, Ill., will perform several selections: “Alleluia,” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; “Ave Maria,” by Charles Gounod; “Duetto Buffo di due Gatti” (duet with Diane Smith), by Gioachino Rossini; “A Simple Song,” by Leonard Bernstein; “Bee! I’m expecting you!,” by Emily Dickinson; “Laurie’s Song,” by Aaron Copland; “Bewitched,” by Richard Rodgers; and “The Girl in 14G,” by Jeanine Tesori.
