Broman ’76 to Present on Rabies Vaccine

Dr. Thomas BromanDr. Thomas H. Broman, Ripon College class of 1976, will present “Pasteur’s Rabies Vaccine: Medicine’s Watershed Moment” from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, in Bear Auditorium, Farr Hall, on the Ripon College campus.

Refreshments will precede the talk at 2:15 p.m.

Dr. Broman, a Professor in the History of Science Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was awarded a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities and received the UW Vilas Associate award and a National Science Foundation Scholar’s Award. His books include The Transformation of German Academic Medicine, 1750-1820 and Science and Civil Society, and he also has written chapters in books and numerous journal articles.
