RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Ripon battled a tough UW-River Falls team Saturday afternoon and despite a hard-fought battle, the Red Hawks dropped their fourth consecutive match, losing to the Falcons 8-1. Ripon won one singles match, while UW-River Falls was victorious in all three doubles matches.

The only match Ripon won on the day came in number four singles, where Erin Gebhardt defeated Brittany Bonine 4-6, 6-4 (10-7), 10-7. That gives Gebhardt a 5-4 record on the season, which is tied with Arielle Denis for the team's best individual record. Denis played the next-closest match on Saturday, losing to Katie Lynn Anderson 6-3, 6-3.

The Red Hawks (4-5) will be in action again next Saturday, when they'll travel to Stevens Point, Wis. to play a pair of matches. Ripon will begin the day against UW-Stout at Noon, before battling UW-Stevens Point at 3 p.m.
