RIPON, Wis. - Ripon entered Friday afternoon's match hoping to
snap their seven game losing streak as they hosted conference foe
St. Norbert. In what was a rain shortened match, the Green Knights
had their way, winning 5-0.
The only two singles matches that were able to be completed were
numbers five and six. In number five singles, St. Norbert's Jenna
Prince defeated Ripon's Alecia Kiszonas 6-3, 6-1. St. Norbert fared
just as well in number six singles, as Emily Fobian defeated Ripon's
Kate Dricken 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles competition, St. Norbert won all three matches, only
giving up one game in the process. In number one doubles, St. Norbert's
Kayte O'Brien and Lauren Post defeated Jamie Lichon and Kara Wagner
8-1. Number two doubles saw SNC's Jill Warner and Jeanna Mischke
defeat Megan Petri and Meagan Sykes 8-0. That score was identical
to number three doubles in which St. Norbert's Erin Riutta and
Allyson Yankle defeated Chelsey Foster and Kristine Jnasen.
Ripon will try to bust into the win column for the second time
this year on Sunday, when they'll host Carroll College at 12:00
p.m. in what is a makeup match from Wednesday's postponed contest.
