RIPON, Wis. - The Red Hawks stood toe-to-toe with St. Norbert for much of the first half on Saturday, trailing 2-0 at halftime. That wouldn't last however, as the Green Knights scored five goals in the a 12-minute span at the beginning of the second half, to win 7-0.

St. Norbert's first two goals both came in the fifth minute, on scores from Kate Kaminski and Jessica Schadrie. After that point, the Ripon 'D' stepped up, holding the Green Knights in check for the remainder of the half and going into halftime trailing by two goals.

The second half began a lot like the first, with St. Norbert scoring often. Schadrie added her second and third goals of the game in the 47th and 51st minute, respectively, while Kate Kaminski gave SNC a 5-0 advantage with her second goal of the day. Ann Maki and Jenni Jacobson also got into the action, scoring in the 58th and 59th minute, respectively. Ripon goalkeeper Angelica Cooper saved six shots in 58 and a half minutes of action.

The Red Hawks will try to put this game behind them now, as they'll focus on their next game at Illinois College next Saturday. That game will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed by the men's contest against the Blueboys.
