SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - Lakeland College scored one goal in the first half of Tuesday's non-conference game against the Red Hawks, but that's all they would need, as the Muskies escaped with a 1-0 victory. That is the Red Hawk's third game this season that's been decided by a single goal. They are 1-2 in those games.
Tuesday's lone goal came in the 22nd minute on a free kick from Kristi Borts. The Muskies had 21 shots in the game, while Ripon managed 14. Red Hawk goalkeeper Angelica Cooper recorded eight saves on the day.
Ripon's next game will be Saturday, when they'll resume conference action at home against Carroll University. That game will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Field.
