RIPON, Wis. - The Red Hawks allowed four goals in the first half
Wednesday afternoon against St. Norbert, en route to a 4-0 loss
to the Green Knights. The Red Hawks played tough defense in the
second period, but it was too little, too late, as they could never
get their offense going.
St. Norbert (5-3-1, 3-0) scored three times in the first ten minutes
of the game. The first one came off the foot of Stephanie Gatyas,
who received a pass from Jessica Schadrie. The next goal was just
the reverse, as Gatyas returned the favor with an assist on a goal
by Schadrie. Gatyas got on the board once again just a minute later
and Schadrie rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal in
the 20th minute.
The Red Hawks will try to snap their losing streak on Saturday,
as they'll play conference leading Grinnell College on Homecoming.
Gametime is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am, and will be followed
by the men's contest against the Pioneers.
