STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Red Hawks got in one final tune up at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational over the weekend before they take part in the Midwest Conference tournament. An injury-related WD meant Ripon couldn't post a team score, placing them ninth out of nine teams.
Ripon's Gina Heckl led the Red Hawks with a two-round score of 161, which tied for third place individually. After shooting a 76 in the first day of competition, Heckl finished with an 85 in day two action. Amanda Holdshoe recorded the next best score for the Red Hawks, giving her a 38th place finish with a score of 203. Katie Schumacher was 44th overall with a two-round score of 229.
The Red Hawks will now focus on the Midwest Conference tournament, which begins on Friday. The three-day event will extend into Sunday at Glen Erin Golf Course in Janesville, Wis.
