Ripon Remains In Seventh After Day Two of MWC Championships

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Red Hawks stayed in seventh place Friday after the second day of competition at the MWC Championships, despite improving their team score by four strokes over their first round score. Ripon shot a 329 in day two, which was dominated by Knox College, who scored the lowest round of the day to take over first place from Grinnell, who faltered with a second-round 336.

Ripon was led by Mike Moldenhauer's 75, which was the second best individual score of the day, and a four stroke improvement on the previous round. Rylee Berndt was again second on the team with another 83, while Raj Pelon improved two strokes with an 84 on the day. Ben Lukoski recorded Ripon's fourth-best score with an 87 on the day, which was four strokes better than his first round score.

The Red Hawks will conclude the MWC Championships with the final round on Saturday at Aldeen Golf Club in Rockford, Ill.
