BELOIT, Wis. - The Red Hawks are hitting their stride at just
the right time. In what was their final tournament before the Midwest
Conference Championships, Ripon finished first for the first time
of the season, defeating St. Norbert and Carroll College.
The Red Hawks finished with a team score of 379, which was five
strokes ahead of the second place Green Knights. Gina Heckl led
the Ripon attack once again, shooting an 86, which was one stroke
off the leader, Beloit's Allison Goodman. Ripon's Molly Brunette
wasn't too far behind, shooting an 88, which was tied for third.
Reagan Rogers was third on the Red Hawks, finishing 10th in the
tournament with a 100. Rachel Storlie and Megan Anderson rounded
out the scoring for the Red Hawks with scores of 105 and 116, respectively.
Ripon will now try to keep their hot streak going, as they'll
take part in the MWC Championship October 6-8 at Knox College.
