RIPON, Wis. - When it comes to winning, the Ripon volleyball team doesn't like to waste any time. Heading into Tuesday's home match against Maranatha Baptist, the Red Hawk's three wins have all been in three games. That trend continued Tuesday night, as Ripon defeated Maranatha 30-16, 30-24, 30-13.

The Red Hawks (4-2) dominated Maranatha Baptist (4-4) from the outset, as Ripon was able to do anything they wanted at times. They recorded 35 kills in the three games combined, 11 of which came from Jeni Yaeger. Anna Alvin added seven kills, while Amy Patton and Jessica Chatmon each had five. The front line was set up beautifully time and time again, thanks to Mary Friend and Alison Ernst, who combined for 28 assists. Sara Heim led the team with 25 digs, while Jessica Chatmon recorded a team-high six blocks.

The Red Hawks are hoping their momentum will carry them into this weekend's Ripon Invitational Tournament, which begins Friday and carries over into Saturday. Ripon's first match on Friday will be against conference foe
St. Norbert College. The Tournament begins at 4:00 p.m. in Storzer Center.
