The win marks Ripon's fifth consecutive victory, all conference wins, keeping them in third-place by themselves, just one-half game behind Carroll and St. Norbert.

After Saturday's first game, the Red Hawks (10-7, 5-1) dominated the rest of the match, totaling 55 kills on the day, to just 35 for Lawrence (6-14, 2-3) . Anna Alvin led the way with 14 kills and nine blocks (eight assisted), while Ashley Schertz recorded 11 kills and three blocks. Mary Friend and Alison Ernst continued to set up the Red Hawks at the net, combining for 43 assists. Sara Heim keyed the defense with a game-high 24 digs.

Lawrence's Kelly Mulcahy was the main bright spot for the Vikings, recording 17 kills, which was nearly half of her team's total. Mulcahy also led her team with 18 digs and four blocks. Lucy Bouressa was credited with nine kills, while Margaret Rhatican had 14 digs.
