RIPON, Wis. - After a great indoor track and field season, Jenni Marcell started the outdoor season off on the right foot, as she was named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week, as released Tuesday by the MWC office. This marks Marcell's first MWC Performer of the Week award.

Marcell placed ed in the top three in four different events in this weekend's Sherman-Lukoski Invite, hosted by Ripon College. Her most impressive event was the Hammer Throw, which she won with a distance of 130'11", which tied her own school record. Marcell then went on to place second in the shot put (40'06".25) and javelin (87'00"), while finishing third in the disc (115'08").
