APPLETON, Wis. - The Ripon Swim team opened up the 2006-07 season over the weekend at the St. Norbert Sprint Meet in Appleton, Wis. With a young, but promising team, the Red Hawks will only get better throughout the year. Saturday, the Red Hawk men finished sixth, while the women came in fifth place with 196 points.

The Red Hawks finished three team events in at least the top four, finishing fourth in the women's 200-yard medley, 100-yard freestyle, and 100-yard medley. The best finish by an individual performer came in the men's 100-yard freestyle, where Parker Heaps finished third. The best finish by a female individual came in the 100-yard IM, where Jenni Schalla finished sixth overall.

Ripon's next meet will come November Fourth at Carroll College in a Double Dual with Monmouth College. The meet is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in Waukesha, Wis.
