RIPON, Wis. - Swimmer Emmy Giovanni was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V women's at-large first team. In order to be considered for the honor, the student-athlete must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and be a starter or essential reserve. The recent Ripon graduate will now placed on the national ballot.

At the MWC Championships, Giovanni took a fifth in the 100 free in a school record time of 55.11. The senior won the title in the 200 free, and set RC records in the 100 free (as the opening leg of the 400 free relay), the 200 free, and the 500 free. She was also on three relays that set school records.
