RIPON, Wis. - After a 9-4 finish and an MWC North championship last season, the Red Hawks are expected to once again be in the upper half of the Midwest Conference. Ripon was picked to finish fourth overall in the MWC, as released Tuesday by the conference office.

Lake Forest will attempt to win their sixth straight MWC Championship in 2007 and the Foresters are favored once again, receiving eight of the nine possible first-place votes. Grinnell, who fell to Lake Forest in last year’s tourney finals, was picked to finish second after receiving one first-place vote. St. Norbert received the final first-place nod to finish third, followed in order by Ripon, Monmouth and Lawrence who were separated by eight total points. Beloit was tabbed to finish seventh, while Illinois College, Carroll and Knox rounded out the poll, respectively.
