Corey, who will miss the remainder of the season to study abroad, closed her collegiate career by imprinting her name in the Ripon record books. Her throw of 45’09.00” in the weight throw was good for seventh place at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational and bested the previous school record of 44’09.00” by Jenni Marcell in 2006. |

Wise led Ripon to a pair of MWC victories last week, lifting the Red Hawks record to 4-0 in conference play this season. The 6-3 junior forward tallied 14 points on Thursday as Ripon edged Illinois College 72-70. Two days later, he tallied a game-high 16 points as Ripon ended Lawrence’s 18-game conference winning streak with a 60-56 decision at home. Wise shot 42.8 percent (9-21) from the field and was 12-15 from the free throw line, while also tallying six rebounds, five assists and two steals in the two contests. |

Schmitting led Ripon to a pair of dramatic conference victories last week, helping the Red Hawks maintain a share of first place in the MWC. The 6-7 senior center poured in 26 points and pulled down 20 rebounds to help Ripon overcome a 19-point second half deficit against Carroll en route to an 80-76 victory at home on Tuesday. Schmitting followed that performance by contributing 16 points and 12 rebounds in Saturday’s 81-77 double-overtime victory at Beloit. Schmitting, the MWC’s leader in rebounding (9.8 rpg) who also ranks among the top 10 in the conference in scoring (9th, 15.6 ppg) and field-goal percentage (3rd, .592), combined to shoot over 60 percent (17-28) from the field in the two contests. |
