Head Coach Paul VandenBoogaard
Paul VandenBoogaard is in his second year as head coach of the Red Hawk men's tennis program. Taking over in 2006, VandenBoogaard filled some very big shoes, as he took over a program which was led by Chuck
Larson for 38 years. Larson built a program with unprecedented
success that VandenBoogaard has kept running strong. In his inaugural season at the helm, VandenBoogaard led Ripon to a conference title, going 4-0 in the MWC North division.
VandenBoogaard is no stranger to Ripon College. He was a member
of the men's tennis team from 2003-06, where he played number one
singles and number one doubles during his last three years. As
a freshman, VandenBoogaard won the singles and doubles conference
titles playing number three singles and number two doubles. VandenBoogaard
also helped lead Ripon to a team championship that season. VandenBoogaard
graduated from Ripon College in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in
exercise science.
VandenBoogaard is originally from Oshkosh, Wis., where he attended
Oshkosh North High School. While at North, VandenBoogaard won the
state doubles championship during his senior year.
