April 18, 2008
Box Score

RIPON, Wis. - For the first time in four years and 16 matches, the Red Hawks were on the losing end of a Midwest Conference regular season match. Ripon lost 5-4 on Friday to Lawrence University, which was the last team that defeated the Red Hawks before their winning streak began.

Ripon (4-10, 1-1 MWC) split their singles matches against the Vikings (6-8, 1-1 MWC), winning number two, five, and six singles. Andy Schaller, Dan Weiler, and Dan Rodriguez each earned a point for the Red Hawks with their singles victories.

The match was decided in doubles competition, where Lawrence took two of three matches. Ripon's only doubles victory came in number two action, where Andy Schaller teamed up with Dan Weiler for the 8-6 win.

Ripon will be back in action on Saturday, as they'll remain at home to face Beloit College and will hope to begin a new conference winning streak. That match will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Larson Courts.
