OSHKOSH, Wis. - In a match that was closer than the score indicated, Ripon lost their first match in their last three, 8-1 at UW-Oshkosh. The Red Hawks took the Titans to the full three sets in three of their six singles matches, while also taking them to a two set match in doubles play.
Ripon's Andy Schaller was the lone Red Hawk to win a match, defeating UW-O's Brandon Lepp 2-6, 6-2, 10-4. Dave Czarnecki and Ben Metzler each lost their respective matches in three sets. Czarnecki and George Higgins also took Corey Dickert and Todd Miller to the max, losing in two sets, 9-8, 7-4.
The Red Hawks will look to start a new winning streak Sunday, as they'll host Knox College at the Fond Du Lac Tennis Center. The match will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Fond Du Lac.
