RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's Ben Metzler received the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week award Tuesday, as released by the conference office. He is the second Red Hawk to receive the award this season.

The Green Bay, Wis. native won all six of the matches he played last week, helping Ripon finish the season with an undefeated conference record for the third consecutive season. In Friday’s victory over Lawrence, Metzler won at No. 2 singles by defeating Travis Fondow 6-2, 6-2. He then teamed up with junior Andy Schaller to win their No. 2 doubles match 8-4. The senior also earned a forfeit singles win against Beloit, a No. 3 singles win over St. Norbert, and two more victories with Schaller against the Buccaneers and Green Knights in the second doubles slot.
